As a Supervised Team of six for WFP Food Security Outcome Monitoring (FSOM) in the Rohingya camps and host communities of Cox’s Bazar, I oversaw and guided data collection teams, ensured strict adherence to survey protocols, addressed and resolved field challenges, and upheld ethical standards, including securing informed consent and safeguarding data confidentiality.

Worked as a Supervisor for MAGENTA on the Nutrition Behavior Survey, leading a team of five enumerators to collect data from Rohingya refugee camps. Responsibilities included training the team on data collection protocols, planning and supervising daily field activities, ensuring adherence to ethical and cultural standards, and troubleshooting challenges to maintain data quality. Collaborated with project managers to meet deadlines and prepared detailed field activity reports for project insights.

Data Enumerator

Worked as a Data Enumerator for ACDI/VOCA on the Livestock Assessment Network (LAN) project, collecting household data on cattle rearing practices. Conducted structured interviews on livestock management, feeding, breeding, and healthcare, ensuring data accuracy and ethical standards. Collaborated with the field team to meet deadlines and contributed to assessing and improving cattle-rearing practices in the community.

Worked as a Data Enumerator for BRAC in Pabna on the Learn with Play project, focusing on assessing the learning outcomes of primary school children through play-based activities. Conducted interactive sessions and structured interviews with students to gather insights into their experiences and the impact of play-based learning on their educational development. Ensured data accuracy by carefully documenting responses and maintaining ethical and child-friendly communication throughout the process. Collaborated with teachers and school staff to facilitate the smooth execution of field activities. Contributed to evaluating the effectiveness of the program in enhancing children’s learning outcomes and overall engagement in education.

Supervised data collection activities to assess food security and livelihood outcomes, ensuring strict adherence to survey protocols and methodological standards. Responsibilities included training and guiding data collection teams, resolving logistical and operational challenges in the field, and maintaining a high level of data quality and accuracy. Ensured ethical compliance by securing informed consent, respecting respondent confidentiality, and fostering a culturally sensitive approach. Collaborated with project coordinators to meet deadlines and provided detailed reports on field activities, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of food security interventions in the region.

Training Summary

  1. In 2023, the World Food Programme (WFP) conducted a Food Security Outcome Monitoring (FSOM) training in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The training focused on FSOM and the Under Nutrition and Livelihood Project.

  2. In 2024, Magenta held a 4-day training session in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, focusing on the nutrition behavior of vulnerable people.

  3. In 2024, ACDI/VOCA held a 7-day Livestock and Nutrition (LAN) training in Jessore. The training focused on a Cattle Rearing Survey, providing detailed insights into cattle behavior.

  4. In 2024, BRAC and the Lego Foundation collaborated on a 5-day Lego Play training session in Manikganj. The training focused on observing and interacting with primary school children to understand their learning and behavior during play.

     

  5. In 2024, the World Food Programme (WFP) conducted a 9-day REVA-FSOM training in Cox’s Bazar. The training covered the EFSN Program, DRR, TVET, and Food Security Monitoring, along with the Nutrition and Livelihood Project, all of which aim to enhance food security, nutrition, resilience, and livelihoods for vulnerable communities through integrated initiatives.
